greencube visits stone supplier in Brussels, Belgium

Last week I visited two stone suppliers in Milan, Italy and Brussels, Belgium kindly arranged by  Rock Unique . As a garden designer we have a huge influence on what our clients choose for their hardscapes. I'm always looking for lower maintenance, dense stone that can withstand our UK climate, face upto the frosts and our wet weather, deal with a huge range in temperature from -18 degrees up to 28 degrees and look great against the ever changing external facades of our clients new homes as well as the old ones, context is paramount.  A very cold day in Belgium, zero degrees but a truly inspiring visit. The Flammet stone being one of the highlights with its textural green, black and grey, it's reflective qualities and dense structure. Flammet Flammet Flammet close up

Courtyard Gardens - Modern Crisp Design

We've been busy working on some large projects recently, two gardens in conservation areas that required planning approval. We are also very excited about getting the go ahead on a modern design for a new build property in Tunbridge Wells, a kit house from Germany which is being delivered on several lorries in kit form. Uber modern and very exciting. We have also been busy with some smaller gardens including this little courtyard in Chislehurst. A garden on a low budget, but will turn out being a little green oasis, tranquil and a great sanctuary for it's owners.
