August continues to be busy

Another busy week for greencube.

Despite it being a short 4 day week after the August Bank holiday we have continued the momentum with our workload.

We have completed a small garden design for a couple in Hawkinge, Folkestone as well as a medium sized garden in Reigate. I visited Wildernesse Golf Club where we have been working with the committee to continue the design works for the courtyard, car park and side access. I picked up a new design brief in Eastbourne a couple of quotes collected for planting in the autumn and we carried out a survey for a small garden in Tunbridge Wells.

Gemma has been working in gardens in Langton Green and my own garden which really helps me keep on top of my plot and so today I mowed the lawn and tended to the vegetable patch and greenhouse. My garden definitely looks like its had the Gemma 'love'. We also visited a nursery to pick up a few plants to complete the planting at our garden in Langton Green.

One of our priority jobs this week has been …

Our small garden in Chislehurst, Kent now features in Millboard decking's new product brochure.

Our clients, a young professional couple with their first small garden, have had their garden featuring in books, magazines and brochures, seems to be very popular choice.

We have had another busy week, working on a design for a family in Eynsford, a survey in Sevenoaks and in Hawkinge, Folkestone. Gemma's back from her holiday's and has been working in gardens in Langton Green, Sevenoaks and Hadlow.
I visited one of our gardens under construction in New Barn this morning which is coming along nicely. Here we have introduced granite plank platforms, these will be interplanted and will create an interesting path to the main terrace at the rear that will include a fireplace, feature wall, pot platform and raised planter.
I'm looking forward to planting this garden, soon to be transformed.

Another busy week at greencube. Planting in Langton Green, Survey in Sevenoaks, Survey in Eynsford and working on a big design in Pluckley for the arrival of a german kit home made by Meisterstueck on a difficult profile site - we love a challenge!

We have also visited a new client in Tunbridge Wells and a visit to a garden under construction in New Barn, Kent that we are project monitoring. All in all a very busy week.

Here's the garden in Langton Green, almost complete.

We've included rivers of boulders and pebbles in the courtyard garden and a rustic green oak deck that fits well with the barn and its rustic style.

This wonderful oak framed barn will be on sale in September. Here we have taken the context/ setting and created a rustic garden that suits the style of the property.

Great news for greencube - great garden design!

Our little company of three employees have had some fantastic news this week - five of our clients gardens are being included in a new book titled 'Great Garden Design' compiled and written by Ian Hodgson to be published and released in Spring 2015.

Here's a snippet of the gardens chosen by the author:

Gardens are all in Kent and London: Borough Green, Tunbridge Wells, Twickenham, Platt Nr. Sevenoaks (my own garden), Chislehurst and RHS Hampton Court, gold medal winning and best small garden 2010.

greencube finally finishes courtyard garden for new property in Caterham

Me and Harriet finished painting the walls in this garden last week, Gemma visited on Monday to carry out maintenance and I returned Wednesday evening to take some photos. Team effort.

Our client is absolutely delighted with her new garden, we have played with scale and placed large oversized pots planted up with architectural leaves of Fatsia japonica, mixed with tree ferns (Dicksonia antartica) with a focal point feature evergreen tree Eriobotrya japonica
