I've taken some time out to photograph my own garden this week. There's always something in flower or looking it's best, here's a few of my favourites for Late August colour or interest: Rudbeckia fulgida var. deamii We have lots of these, they are so bright and cheerful, need very little attention and flower right into autumn and the first frosts. Hydrangea arborescens 'Annabelle' Hydrangeas seem smaller and a bit late this year, I would imagine this has to do with the warm dry summer, they prefer to be in damp soil and my soil is sandy and dry, but still not a bad show. Echinacea 'White Swan' The bees seem to go to sleep after feeding on Echinacea 'White Swan', watch out for slugs when they first appear in spring, we have planted some pink varieties also which we are trialling in the perennial border, including 'Raspberry Tart.' We have recently been working on five schemes that have required planning permission Here's a snippet of work for these projects: in Bidborough working alongside Architects - Offset Drawing plans and building 3D models in Speldhurst working alongside German architects - Baufritz (eco friendly kit home specialist) the house was installed in a week and we are working closely with project Manager Rob Middleton to bring the hard and soft landscaping together for this very exciting project. in Chipstead (conservation area) working alongside Oak framed specialists architects and build company Oakland Vale The house is almost complete, we gained permission last year for hard and soft landscapes which is just about to start construction as soon as the scaffolding comes down. Creative Landscapes are working on this project. and Sevenoaks working with 2 sets of clients to gain necessary planning permissions.

We shared our blog link with  CED  (stone suppliers)  last month to show them their products that we specified in our clients mews house, in chislehurst. A  courtyard garden, recently completed. the products include: large boulders and skinny strips of sawn and sandblasted planking. CED then used one of greencube's images for their monthly advert in the Garden Design Journal. see advert September's Issue of Garden Design Journal
