greencube loves a 'Cantilever '

Designers and architects are attracted to the cantilever - definition:  a beam or plate constructed and fixed at one end but floating at the other. A simple and strong design element, creating an unfussy modern feel. Greencube have been designing cantilevers over the last 11 years in various forms including steps, tables, seats and benches. Seating - Cantilevered Bench Here we have installed a  floating bench , steel supports are constructed within the block wall and project out to support the deck boards, a return on the seating hides the steel supports. At last spring has sprung

Workload at greencube is busy as always. We are project monitoring one of our designs in Offham, Kent working alongside landscapers - Creative Landscapes and contractor Pondscapes  on a wonderful garden for an Oast house. Ragstone walls are currently being built including a ragstone cascading water feature.  This week we are finally planting the Wildernesse Golf Club's courtyard garden. I'm really looking forward to seeing the clubs final transformation turning what was a post war 1950's ugly building and tarmac area into a contemporary, appealing and smart clubhouse. We are also working with new landscaping company SJB landscaping in North Norfolk on a small courtyard garden, we are very excited about this scheme. Garden construction starts in May for this very unusual bold garden....... watch this space Meanwhile a small design for landscaping company Langdale Landscapes is coming to fruition.Using tier cladding and porcelain external tiles. ...

I spent last night at my clients with the landscape contractor Colin from Creative Landscapes whose team have been working hard on this garden throughout the winter months and lighting Engineer Peter from Greenleaf Lighting . Welcomed with a glass of wine which I sipped slowly shuffling around the garden with camera and tripod at hand taking many photo's, I've selected the best to show. Greencube's concept behind this design was to create an outdoor living room, pull up the armchairs, light the fire and enjoy being outdoors, this high specification property required a matching garden and we are proud of ...
