Last Tuesday I was invited along to the Wildernesse Golf Club in Seal nr Sevenoaks. We have worked with Wildernesse Golf Club since 2012 designing improvements to the rear terrace, side access and the courtyard/arrival space. The champagne reception was a celebration and grand opening with Strictly's Len Goodman cutting the ribbon. Here are a few images of the evening and the transformation. We worked alongside the golf clubs committee and architect Andrew Boakes Associates, Birkby Construction and Creative Landscapes. Greencube designed the landscapes, planting design and planting. Len was heckled with a 'SEVEN' call out from the crowd and he then responded pointing out the transformation, the wonderful space and awarded the face lift at Wildernesse Golf Club with a TEN. and before....... post war 1950's building with function over form and before photo ...... the transformation is incredible lifting a very sad post war build

we have finally uploaded our new, sleek website containing 'responsive website design', a huge thank you to my husband Mike who gave up many weekend hours to help me find the right layout and coding to make it all happen. responsive website design helps our 'end users' view our website on an iPhone, blackberry, iPad, netbook, kindle, mac, windows pc or tv -  responding to the users behaviour and environment based on the screen size, platform and its orientation. context is so important and as much as we (at greencube) love designing the gardens for modern new homes with zero thresholds, minimal and contemporary design we also love to diversify. Here we have designed a garden for a victorian foundry in Walsingham in North Norfolk converted into holiday cottages in the last decade. The foundry originally founded in 1809, making iron castings for farming industry, war casualties ended the male line and so in 1918 it was sold to the Wright family and they continued to trade until 1932, the depression caused its closure. In 1938 it was purchased by the Barnhams who made agricultural implements, pumps, fireballs, backplates, stokers, grates and ornamental fire baskets............ and so we have paid homage to the cottage and its history and implemented lots of wonderful weathering steel, someone said 'its a bit rusty' we hope you like it, its a rich and developing patina that seems to get warmer and richer in colour on a weekly basis.
