We have been visiting two of our newly completed gardens this week 1. Hadlow, Kent adjacent to farmland. 2. Loughton, in the centre of Epping Forest Gemma has been carrying out regular maintenance in this garden in Hadlow to keep it looking great. Here's the stepping stone paving over reflective pond The miscanthus is growing nicely. Here we have used Prunus nigra with a mix of perennials, shrubs and bold bands of ilex crenata 'Dark Green'. The Salvia caradonna is looking particularly good. Prunus nigra stands out bold against the white rendered walls of the house. We have semi-enclosed this garden to create an intimate space within the larger area, surrounding the terraces with low 1 metre high walls, one of which has 3 water blades cascading into the pond.
