greencube designs a pocket garden

greencube is in for a very busy Autumn, planting up gardens in Offham, Sevenoaks, Ashford, Trottiscliffe, Seal and Hartfield. We are planting one garden each week as well as continuing with existing and new clients designs.  We are taking new enquiries for January/February 2017. planting You need to keep very fit to sustain the workload of a planting day, offloading lots of plants from the lorries, setting out and planting is a hard task but transforms the spaces immediately. Gemma and I can clock up over 20,000 steps on each day and walk the equivalent of 11/12 km in one day's planting. But we love it... Lots of our gardens designed this year are being completed this autumn. So we are super excited to see them finally completed. new garden cantilevered  we love a cantilevered step and here we have transformed this tiny garden into a modern, easy to maintain social space. summer colour, material inspiration and garden ideas

greencube are always striving for new and interesting planting combinations, differing materials that contrast with the homes that will last and look great years later. I've been out and about taking photos of some of our gardens, majority of which are maintained by gemma, our well equipped and knowledgable greencube gardener. here's a few images that hopefully convey our passion at greencube for each and every garden we work on.... We all need storage, these sentry box sheds add a sense of fun and style to the garden as well as a practical use. this garden's fence has been clad in western red cedar slats, rich warm colour...

courtyard garden in mews house in Chislehurst

We've just finished this garden (June 2013), so it needs to bed in a little and the feature plants need to grow and soften the hardscapes, but we are really pleased with the results so far. Our clients live in a Mews House in Chislehurst, their garden was filled with builders leftover block pavers, soulless and uninviting when I first arrived to pick up the initial brief. It now looks like this! This small courtyard garden now has two deck terraces (millboard eco decking) divided by sandstone planking from CED blended with boulders and pebbles of various sizes. The trellis panels have been made on site using western red cedar. Material selection is so important, combining the right materials that blend together or contrast in colour and texture, keeping within the context of the house and setting are key points to achieving a successful garden. We worked closely with the landscaper on this one to ensure all the finer details were delivered in this very small spa...
