see greencube in modern gardens magazine this month

See us in this month's Modern Gardens magazine, a new national magazine, they interviewed one of our clients and here's the article. An article about 'HOW TO USE A GARDEN DESIGNER' Clients words: "I went online and Mandy Buckland and Greencube jumped out. Her style was exactly what I was looking for but I wasn't sure I could afford her. I explained what I wanted and that my budget was limited and she came to look round. She was approachable and listened to my ideas. She managed the project, sourced the materials, co-ordinated the hard landscape team and di the planting. My wow factor garden is worth the investment and shows that everyone can aspire to their dream, irrespective of budget."

Brighten up your garden this autumn

We were planting up a garden for Steed Construction this week in Hartfield, gorgeous house just about to go on the market, very high specification. This is our 5th job with Steed Construction, based in Hastings, who build gorgeous family homes in Sussex. We designed the garden and planting. Here are some lovely pots we filled with bright autumn colour for the front deck area with a backdrop of the barn door that's painted black, I chose something bright and light. Planting Sedum spectabile 'Stardust' with Carex oshimensis 'Everest'.

We are very pleased with our new garden in Sevenoaks, here are a few images of the main terrace and feature statement pots on the quartz paddlestone wall. even greencube's mum has garden published

I'm often asked to design gardens for my family including my Mum and Step Dad, my brother and sister in law and my Mother and Father in Law. They receive  a bit of greencube magic, some time and commitment from me and a lovely garden to enjoy. They all have embraced their gardens and are making the most of their outdoor space. Here's my Mum's garden completed last year but looking even better this year. They spend a lot of time pottering in their new garden and its made a difference to their daily life and enjoyment. Here we have designed an oak seat incorporated within a raised oak planter, full of Nepeta and Salvia's. The seat has been underplanted with Erigeron, Hakonechloa, spilling out and softening the space. Here we plug any gaps with ground hugging geranium's to reduce weeding. Note the black fences that push all the colours of the plants forward, making them lighter and brighter. The shed has been given a face lift with a lick of

greencube designs a pocket garden

greencube is in for a very busy Autumn, planting up gardens in Offham, Sevenoaks, Ashford, Trottiscliffe, Seal and Hartfield. We are planting one garden each week as well as continuing with existing and new clients designs.  We are taking new enquiries for January/February 2017. planting You need to keep very fit to sustain the workload of a planting day, offloading lots of plants from the lorries, setting out and planting is a hard task but transforms the spaces immediately. Gemma and I can clock up over 20,000 steps on each day and walk the equivalent of 11/12 km in one day's planting. But we love it... Lots of our gardens designed this year are being completed this autumn. So we are super excited to see them finally completed. new garden cantilevered  we love a cantilevered step and here we have transformed this tiny garden into a modern, easy to maintain social space. The steps are cantilevering out of the deck to create a wonderful journey to the lower garden. Thi
