Here's how we work - a case study

Let's have a chat...... Our garden design process begins with you contacting us by email or a phone call, a chat........ You may not have worked with a designer before and may like to understand h ow the design process works, get an idea of the timescales, and budgets. If you like what you hear we'll arrange a visit. I like to spend an hour or so with you, in your home and garden space. We will talk about your likes and dislikes, I'll listen to your thoughts and ideas, take some notes, take some photos and understand what you want from your outside space. I use my time with you to: Get to know you as an individual,  collect your ideas, desires and requirements for your garden Get a feel for your house, your home, your style and gain some context for my design ideas Do an analysis of the site, for example: light, shade, aspect, privacy, access, circulation, etc. Explain and discuss the process and how I can help you achieve your ambitions My objective is to develop...

Vibrant colour in our greencube garden in Caterham

This tiny garden belonging to our client living in a new build end of terrace home in Caterham has had the greencube touch... Inspired by palettes of tropical greens, creating a lushness and oasis within this tiny space and the boldest focal point fireplace we have ever designed. With our clients backing we have (almost) completed this garden. Garden includes bio ethanol fire bowl. We have played with scale placing the large focal point fireplace and the oversized pots within the small space, creating a dramatic, non fussy garden . I'l return to get some images at night. Gemma is maintaining this garden on a regular basis, feeding, weeding and generally keeping it looking fab. Garden includes eco deck and granite paving.  Before photo Garden construction Oakleigh Manor Garden Design, Project Management and Planting Greencube View our other projects: www.greencubed.co.uk

Greencube courtyard garden to be built in Caterham, Surrey

We have just completed this little courtyard garden design for our client in a new home in Caterham in Surrey. We are just gathering quotes for the construction. A tiny space, this garden is all about the detail with its warm tuscan red chimney breast, seating, layered  granite details and wonderful lush planting with eco decking and pebble mulch. We are very excited about changing this soulless space into an inviting, sociable courtyard. We have played with scale in this small space and placed oversized sculptural pots. So watch out for the finished photo, coming soon..............

Greencube gardens published in two magazines this month

It's always a huge compliment when I see our gardens published in magazines, sharing our hard work, inspiration and ideas with the world. We have seen my Hampton Court, Gold medal winning Garden of 2010 published in a magazine in the Netherlands this month. This is the forth time I've seen my garden featured in a dutch magazine or book. They kindly sent me a copy. The magazine is called Groei & Bloei, which translates to 'Growth and Bloom' and they featured a 4 page article about the garden. Here are the scans of the magazine. dutch magazine website:  groei.nl and our website media page:  http://greencubelandscapes.co.uk/media/media.html I've also been contacted by Hadlow College this week who sponsored the Hampton Court Garden as they are about to re-build it at Hadlow, Broadview Gardens and needed some information. I'll have to take a sneaky peak once they start progressing, be great to see it built again. Our lovely Ide Hill, Sevenoak...
