We have been visiting two of our newly completed gardens this week
1. Hadlow, Kent adjacent to farmland.
2. Loughton, in the centre of Epping Forest
Gemma has been carrying out regular maintenance in this garden in Hadlow to keep it looking great.

The miscanthus is growing nicely.
Prunus nigra stands out bold against the white rendered walls of the house.
We have semi-enclosed this garden to create an intimate space within the larger area, surrounding the terraces with low 1 metre high walls, one of which has 3 water blades cascading into the pond.
Here's our Loughton Garden which we have featured before. Gemma and I carried out a maintenance day this week. This garden has only just been completed, Harriet and I planted back in the spring 2014.
The garden has two terraces, a pool, hot tub, a fireplace and cantilevered steps allowing you easy access to the trampoline and top border with great social and family zones.
Trees include Cersis 'Forest Pansy', Acer palmatum, Eriobotrya japonica and Prunus serrula
The planting needs to knit together but is doing very well, our clients have had an automatic irrigation system installed, taking the hard work out of the watering.
We have once again used eco decking to create warmth amongst the cool whites and grey.

Here we have used Prunus nigra with a mix of perennials, shrubs and bold bands of ilex crenata 'Dark Green'.
The Salvia caradonna is looking particularly good.
