Toby has joined us for the summer, he's already achieved RHS level 2 and principles of horticulture and is now in his final year at Uni studying landscape architecture at University of Gloucestershire.
He's helping with surveys, sketch up, planting plans, maintenance and some planting!
We are now referred to as 'The Blonde Team!' (well one of us almost grey!:>) Here we are last week planting up phase 1 of a garden in Offham, photos of garden to follow shortly. Photo taken by client.

Meanwhile i visited our lovely clients in Sevenoaks to take some photos. A garden we completed last year but now completely full of flower. This garden was designed for a passionate gardener who wanted to achieve a wonderful succession of flower and textures and seasonal interest.
I know I over-use Hydrangeas, but who wouldn't when you can achieve these results:
apparently people stop to admire this border from the roadside ;>)
Here we have used Hydrangea paniculata with Hakonechloa macra, Hebe and Cotinus, repeated throughout.
We have added a curvy ragstone wall around the terrace to semi-enclose, creating a tranquil place to enjoy and relax
We have tied clematis into an Amelanchier and the Cotinus to scramble up and add further flowering throughout summer.
The circular terrace includes planting at two levels giving the feeling of being surrounded and within the border.
We have used both Hydrangea strong 'annabelle' and 'Invincible' to give two colours in this border, interplanted with Pennisetum 'Red Buttons' and of course Geranium to fill the gaps and prevent the weeds.
On the higher ground with used a traditional pink shrub rose
Here we have used a mix of layering shrubs and perennials.
I particularly like the borage growing in the herb planter outside the posh shed.
The resin bound drive looks great.
Notice we paint the fence black, making the boundaries disappear into background and projecting the colours and foliage of the plants making them look even better!
